Tales of Vesperia PS3

I have been a huge fan of the "Tales of" series since the release of the first Tales of Symphonia, and have played a few of the games in the series (Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World, Graces F, the Abyss, Vesperia, radiant mythology) and I have currently been looking at the release of Tales of Vesperia for the PS3 in Japan. I am wondering why North America did not get this. I absolutely loved Vesperia, and I'm looking at all the new features and I know I would DEFINITELY buy it for the PS3. And with the new release of Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike coming to DvD and Blu Ray in a few days, it also pulls the game back into question. With the release of this new movie, would it be possible that we could be seeing a release for the PS3 since in Japan the two tied-in together?

Don't quote me on this but at one time I remember something being said that there was interest in localizing the PS3 expansion, but there were problems because Microsoft held a contract on it or something (again don't quote me, take it with a grain of salt).
Also it would be a bit pointless to release the same game twice, only difference would be 1 has some more content on it and came out much later. The movie really isn't going to influence the game either, the movie's been out for a few years now and FUNImation is just picking it up as another thing (they got the original VAs from the English game so I heard). Would I get Vesperia PS3 if it came out in English? Yeah. Will it? Probably not.
