I've noticed some people have taken their frustration to facebook, which is great. What's not great is that some people are extending it to Studio Ghibli and Level-5, i.e. the people who aren't responsible for any of this. If you are one of those people please reconsider what you're doing, Level-5 just developed and localized it while Ghibli did the audio/visual direction.

Hopefully Level5 and Studio Ghibli at least know about what's going on. It's definitely not their fault, but hopefully a mess like this will make them think twice before partnering with the incompetents at Namco Bandai and Digital River again.

They are reaching out to them BECAUSE Namco Bandai and DR are stonewalling everyone. They are just trying to get through to anyone they can in the hopes that someone involved will stop pretending there isn't a massive problem.

They've been just as stone faced on Twitter, not a word from these jerk-offs on any front.

I think the funniest part about all of this, for me, if that they honestly tried to tell me that they were 'out of stock' when my order only got cancelled right after trying to correct my shipping address, UPS won't deliver to a PO and I had no idea they were using UPS until this started going down. It's like they expected me to believe that my copy sprouted legs and walked away XD!

I've lost all concern for proper posting etiquette at this point, you'll have to forgive the double post.

I doubt anyone cares about posting etiquette right now. Not to mention most of us are still using our soulless assigned user_xxxxx names so it'd be pretty hard to notice.

Well this will probably die over the weekend and it's clear that Namco Bandai doesn't give a **** about us. Again, developers, think twice before conducting business with Namco again. I know I will.

Maybe next Monday. I can only take so many repeated sentences and conflicting statements before I start getting mad.

This is how they'll respond to any given question:
You - I'm calling to inquire about my order and why it hasn't shipped, here's my info.
CSR - It will be shipping sometime soon.

You - I'm calling to ask about why my order hasn't shipped, could it be because of my payment method or shipping address?
CSR - We're sorry, your order is now cancelled and we can't be blamed for never informing you of problems until you called to ask.

You - I'm calling to ask why my order was cancelled, here's my info.
CSR - Your order was cancelled, all of the stock we had exploded in our warehouse, you will accept our refund when we feel like issuing it.
You - I ordered this last year, my copy didn't just disappear.
CSR - .... Repeat previous statement until hanging up or passing you to a super

You - Yes, I got transferred to you for reason x or reason y.
Super - I see.
You - Insert any of the above questions
Super - Oh no, your order is shipping soon, it wasn't cancelled, x statement to placate you and get you off the phone.

It's impossible to know who's telling the truth.
