Mobile Ops most definately. I'd rather have a new game first than a sequal.

Also Mobile Ops is in a style that is most likely to bring more fans into the series, even if they dont normally care for anime.

Having played Operation Troy (Mobile Ops in Japan) I can say that its one of the best multiplayer mech games to come out on a console.

My top 5 multiplayer mech games ranking from games that I've played.
#1. Steel Battalion Line of Contact (Expensive but totally worth it, small community though)
#2. Gundam Operation Troy (Mobile Ops)
#3. Armored Core 4 Answer
#4. Mech Assault 1
#5. Chromehounds

My Thoughts

I feel the exact same way, Zandor. Problem is, this gaming generation seems to only care about graphics and story with gameplay taking a backseat to both.

Most peoples reasoning...

Mobile Ops
-----------------
-Oh no, single player sucks and has a crappy story! (Multiplayer was the focus)
-The graphics are so last generation! (Graphic concern, and a bit unreasonable)
-Transitions in the animations are bad! (Graphic concern, doesn't affect gameplay)
-The spawn points suck! (Bad Demo)
-Non-Destructible buildings! (Would lag more if there were Destructible buildings)
-Ragdoll effects are bad. (Semi-reasonable, it could have been better)
-----------------

They seem to conveniently forget what makes Mobile Ops good and base all their judgments off the Demo, which should have featured a bigger map and the spawn location dialog box which is in the full game.

What makes Mobile Ops good in my opinion...

Mobile Ops
-----------------
-Mobile suit selection.
-Reasonable Customization including weapon loadout on suits.
-No auto aim!
-Skill takes a backseat to analyzing and proper use of tactics. (Flanking, ect)
-Multiplayer! (Finally)
-Mobile Suits have ragdoll. (Unscripted deaths is still a plus)
-----------------

I will admit that having soldiers in the game seems more like a gimmick then a well defined class with their uses.

The point is that the Demo was flawed, and most people judged the game entirely based on that, which is rather unfortunate. Its a much better game than most people think, has very good customization and is fun when you actually communicate and work together to take down the Enemy MS team.

Until our internet connections get better, people shouldn't be expecting a Mobile Suit Gundam game that features everything and a bag of chips.

Perhaps my wall of text(full of holes), scared them off.

C'mon people, how can Bandai release Mobile Ops: The One Year War, if no one votes or talks about it.

Namco Bandai! Look Here!

I feel this deserves a bump as well as a second look by Namco Bandai in deciding whether or not "Mobile Ops: The One Year War" should come out in America.

See the thread "Mobile Ops(A Gundam Game)", 159 posts, 4500 views and rising.

If you do not wish to release "Mobile Ops: The One Year War", just put us out of our misery by officially canceling it, please!

I haven't had the privilege to play the demo, but I would love to. LostFighter knows why I cannot play the demo. I hope to give it a shot soon. Just looking at the videos of the Japanese version, I can see it has a great potential. For those that loved the older Gundam games, it would bring back memories. This is a great way to introduce new potential Gundam fans to the game. Given it's Battlefield style gameplay, I would imagine that players of CoD, Battlefield, Halo, and Gears of War would enjoy the game. It would just need to be advertised.

Ok so I have played most of the Gundamu games that have come to America. I don't have a PS3 cause it just wasn't worth buying this generation. So far the games have been really good, minus the dynasty warriors gundamu. I do not find attacking thousands of enemies in an unrealistic battle where getting defeated is harder then standing still. So minus my bias with the dynasty warriors games many of the Gundamu games have been really good and fun. There were parts of Encounters in Space that made me angry, but then I guess if you don't know what your suit will be you really might get stuck with a ball every time. Anyway I still think Namco and make good games, but they don't advertise the games...at all. And I do want Mobile Ops, they promised a release so I believe them, until they OFFICIALLY announce a cancel. Matte mina!
