Although Erusea dissolved its foreign legion under the terms of its surrender to ISAF, it was later re-activated by the provisional government to combat Erusean nationalist terrorists, as many Erusean soldiers were sympathetic towards the insurgents. These pilots, most of whom had seen extensive combat experience in the Continental War or in previous service, were merged into the FEAF’s 6[sup]th[/sup] Air Force while others were stationed with the 3[sup]d[/sup] Fleet. Placed under a joint command and named the Freelance Alliance, this unit is deployed to Bronze Gate AB in the Twinkle Islands, Caelum Umbra AB, an airbase on loan from St. Ark, and the 3[sup]d[/sup] Fleet's F.A.S. Sealance CVBG to assist in putting down Erusean nationalist rebellions.

Established in February 2005, the Freelance Alliance has risen from obscurity into one of the most prominent squadrons at the popular fansite, Ace Combat Skies. With 69 members on Ace Combat Skies as of April 2008, not only are we among ACS's largest squadrons, but can also boast a number of talented players who have led us to victory in past AC04/5/Z score competitions and current AC6 online play. Regardless of this, skill level is not a factor in applications to join.

Unlike many other squadrons, we're not going to bullshit you with "hurr hurr were teh best" crap. Here's a look at what we really offer:

The FA currently focuses on Xbox Live, with 35 Ace Combat 6 players. We also operate sub-clans for Halo 3 , Call of Duty 4 (including a competition team for our best players), and Over G Fighters. The FA and Sins and Saints are currently in a cooperative agreement for online play, named NCTO (North Ceresian Treaty Organization). Not only do we participate in competitions together, but we also maintain a database of AC6 strategies and hints that have contributed to our excellent results on Xbox Live. We have expressed interest in forming a Playstation Network clan, but we currently have too few members who own PS3s.

The FA has a generally laid-back attitude; members have no responsibilities other than staying active (and even after periods of inactivity we still welcome members back in). There are no absurd requirements such as saying "sir" in posts to higher ranking members, nor is there a complex, bureaucratic leadership structure. However, on Xbox Live, we provide a more authentic experience than the majority of squadrons, using realistic radio chatter and tactics without going to an excessive level of milsim.

After acceptance of your application, be sure to register at our homesite's forums. Acceptance into the FA is a totally subjective decision, although rejection of an application is a very rare occurrence.
