Community Manager

 NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. is searching for a Community Manager to represent our brands to the community of game enthusiasts, press, the mass audience and at events. The person we are looking for will have expert knowledge of the gaming industry, and strong relationships with the community related to our key brands. This person will create, engage and maintain the conversations around our titles, and will work with internal and external teams to strategize opportunities for community outreach and participation. The Community Manager must have a passion for all types of video games, speaking to an audience about gaming and be a gamer at heart.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the face for the Namco community representing our brands. Being the community voice on all our outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, forums, provide the community key updates and engaging in conversations based on what they community asking, and guiding the conversations.
  • Work closely with the cross functional and development teams to stay up to date on the latest updates around the title to help support assets and content distribution out to the community. 
  • Responsible for planning and executing regular updates of social media / video sharing site channels with time-relevant content, messages, graphic backgrounds, hero images, etc. as well as posting all content for timed releases related to key announcements and events.
  • Work with community to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues as well as collect feedback for future updates, content, and possible patches.
  • Establish credibility and relationships with fans, press, other community managers, and marketing makers of the game titles to help extend the reach of our voice
  • Work closely with external vendors to setup events, tournaments, and other partnerships to engage the brand.
  • Be the spokesman of the titles at live events, trade shows, tournaments, press interviews, etc.
  • Work with the community to gather feedback and discuss with internal teams how to leverage, address and respond as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ yrs experience
  • Extensive knowledge and passion for the video game industry
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as strong presentation skills
  • Strong team player who works with internal and external partners effectively
  • Some travel required and typically consists of short-term trips of one week or less
  •  

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
